Food for Life | Plant-Based Eating for Better Health WEEK 3
February 25th, 2020 @ 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
If you’re curious about the buzz around plant-based eating, this Food for Life: Nutrition Essentials class might be for you. Many people nowadays are eager to trim their waistlines, tackle diabetes, or improve their health in other ways. This 4-week program (February 11, 18, 25, and March 3) helps reach those goals, through weekly classes, guidance, and an app full of recipes, meal plans, and video tips. The series is based on scientific studies by leading medical and nutrition experts and favors vegetables, fruits, legumes, and whole grains.
As a get-ready-for-spring special, this series is being offered FREE of charge but you MUST RSVP as space is limited.
Plus, as an offshoot of the Saratoga County Chamber’s Health & Wellness Week (Feb. 5-12), this plant-based series has two special add-on options you are invited to join:
1. “Lunch and learn” on Friday, February 7 at Four Seasons Cafe (33 Phila Street, Saratoga Springs) from 12-1 pm. The plant-based lunch will be served buffet style so you can choose and pay for what you like (special 20% discount for attendees) and there will be a short educational program related to plant-based eating and fitness. You do not need to register in advance for this event; see you there!
2. Fitness experience for up to 10 class participants (FREE). Planted Platter is partnering with E3 Training Studio (powered by Vent) in Saratoga Springs, which will provide 10 class members unlimited group workout coaching at no charge during the 4-week nutrition class program. E3 Training is located at 307 Broadway, at the corner of Congress Street and across from Congress Park. The studio offers group workouts throughout the day that you will be able to join. If you want to see what a month of plant-based eating and dynamic workouts can do for your health, this package is for you!
While this four-week experience is offered at no charge, it does require your involvement and dedication. Please be ready to make the commitment to attend classes/workouts and to try some things that are new to you with both regular exercise and plant-based eating.
