Tuesday, April 30th @ 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

The Friends of the Saratoga Springs Public Library’s Saratoga Book Festival, in collaboration with Literary Arts@SPAC and the Saratoga County Veterans Peer Connection program, proudly announces a special event featuring Donald L. Miller, the esteemed author of Masters of the Air. Scheduled for April 30 at 7 pm, the event will take place at the iconic Spa Little Theater in Saratoga Springs, NY.

Donald L. Miller, the award-winning historian renowned for his gripping narrative style, will delve into the riveting saga of the American Eighth Air Force in World War II. His bestselling book, Masters of the Air, serves as the inspiration for the compelling Apple TV streaming series of the same name, produced by the illustrious duo Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg.

In this exclusive engagement, attendees will have the opportunity to hear Miller speak firsthand about the valorous bomber boys who played a pivotal role in defeating Nazi Germany and liberating Europe. The evening will include insights gleaned from Miller’s extensive interviews with surviving airmen and civilians affected by the bombing campaigns. Additionally, guests will be treated to a sneak peek of a pivotal scene from the Masters of the Air TV series, followed by an interactive Q&A session and a book signing.

For those eager to secure their seats, tickets and copies of Miller’s book are now available for purchase. Furthermore, as a gesture of gratitude to our veterans, complimentary passes are being offered exclusively through the Saratoga Book Festival website.
