Learn about the life and work of Susan B. Anthony!
We all learned about Susan B. Anthony in history class. She was a champion for abolition, temperance, education, and universal suffrage. What you may not know is that she was arrested for the crime of voting while female. Join us to learn more about the life and work of Susan B. Anthony from our host, Teresa Beard.
Teresa is a writer, podcaster, cyber safety professional, and founder of Scared Media. Before moving to the Capitol Region, she was a longtime volunteer docent and educator at the National Susan B. Anthony Museum in Rochester, NY, where Susan lived and worked for more than 40 years. Teresa is passionate about history, specifically the history of religious and Civil Rights movements, and how those movements are still impacting our lives today.
Please RSVP to be a part of this event. Hosted in the Palette Not-So-Secret Garden or join us live online!
