Women’s World History Class
October 6th, 2020 @ 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM
An event every week that begins at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, repeating until December 8th, 2020
Did you know that the first credited author in history was a woman? Or that one of the most powerful pharaohs of Egypt was wiped from all records for 3500 years simply because of her gender? If not, Palette’s new Women’s World History course might be of interest to you and your family!
Each week, we will learn about an exceptional woman and explore the status and power of women during that era through the lens of her life. Classes will incorporate discussions, creative writing, and primary sources such as artwork or texts from the time period. While this course is geared towards young adults, people of all ages (and genders) are welcome!
We will meet once per week for ten weeks for an hour long class, and while we hope to see you at each class, the course is designed to be accessible for people dropping in as well.
Women’s World History will be offered free of charge to Palette members and their families. It is a digital event and is presented by the Eyre Writing Center.
